Obituary of Paul Smith

Paul Smith, 60, of Yardley, PA died on Saturday in Beach Haven, New Jersey. Born in Atlantic City and a former resident of Philadelphia and Ivyland PA, he resided in Yardley, PA for the past six years. He graduated from Father Judge Catholic High School in Philadelphia and earned his Bachelors degree in economics from LaSalle University class of 1973. Paul was an Industrial Training Manager for Snap-On Tools and had been with the company for over 35 years. Paul and his wife Kathy enjoyed a summer home in Beach Haven, New Jersey where he was an active member of the New Jersey Windsurfing and Water Sports Association. He had a great passion for music. He enjoyed singing and playing the accordion and keyboard. Paul was a Lionel Train hobbyist and also a long time Phillies and Eagles fan. Son of the late Francis E. and Margaret Shipley Smith, he is survived by his wife, Kathryn Forman Smith of Yardley, PA, his two daughters; Marissa Smith of Washington D.C., and Mackenzie Smith of Ivyland, PA, his two step-daughters; Jennifer Besserman and her husband Joshua, and Jaclyn Hensler, his two brothers and sisters-in-law; Francis and Gail Smith, and Richard and Nancy Smith, his two sisters; Mary Kay Dunne and her husband Paul, and Sister Marjorie Smith, and his nieces and nephews; Joy Ann Lowery, Carey Smith, Patrick and Christopher Dunne, as well as many grand nieces and grand nephews. Friends may call on Thursday from 4 PM-7PM, and service will immediately follow at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ with Msgr. Walter Nolan, officiating.
