Paul was the kind of guy who lived by the credo that there are no strangers, only friends you haven't met. I only knew him for a couple of years, but I will miss him deeply. He was one of the founders and a driving force behind the New Jersey Windsurfing and Watersports Association. Although new to the sport, his enthusiasm and goodness earned the respect and friendship of all he met.
RIP Paul, and may the wind always be at your back.

I've only known Paul for a couple of years myself. At numerous NJWWA events, he was the first one in the parking lot, always willing to lend a hand & help as needed. Its impressive that Paul would volunteer on the BABA race committee to learn from experienced race directors. His one--man-band at the gala was awesome. He will be missed.

I will always remember Paul by his Philly alias - Pablo Smittini :) Paul was a great friend and helped me greatly when I first became a manager for Snap-on years ago. He was always willing to help and we worked on many projects together. He was a classy guy, a gentleman and friend. He will be missed greatly. My best wishes go out to his girls which he talked about so much. He was very proud of both of you!

Paul was a dedicated windsurfing, sailing and kayaking friend who loved the water. He was a treasure to be around as he so loved his Kathy and large family.
I liked to hear Paul play and sing Buffets Changes in Lattitdue, Changes in Attitude.
He will be remembered every minute I spend on the water...

I did not have the opportunity to work directly with Paul but I did utilize many of the programs that Paul and his team put together over the last 8 years. Tom was always professional, positive, amiable and had a willingness to assist in any way that he could.
I appreicated Paul's humanity and sincere concern for the people he worked with. I, for one, will miss Paul very much.
I would like the Smith family to know that I will keep them in my prayers.
I am very sorry for your loss.
