Obituary of John Alban Kite

John Alban Kite, 82, of Lawrenceville died Saturday at Capital Health System at Fuld. Born in Media, PA., John was a lifelong resident of Lawrenceville. He received his B.S. from St. Francis Xavier College in Nova Scotia. He retired in 1991 as a tax examiner with the state of New Jersey, Div. of Taxation, after 36 years of service. He was also a retired song leader with St. Mary's Assumption Church in Passaic, NJ. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and was a Charter Member of Lawrence Twp. American Legion Post #414. Son of the late St. Alban and Lilla Veglianetti Kite and brother of the late Peter L. Kite and Mary Barbara Steward; he is survived by his wife, Margaret Cavanaugh Kite; his children, Robert Kite, John Francis Kite, Joseph Kite and his wife Rita, Clare Kwami and her husband Jeff, Richard Kite, Christopher Kite, Catherine Strycharz and her husband James, Rose Seifert, Agnes Kite, Mary Kite and her husband Paul Jivoff, and Eduardo Calderon; Grandchildren, Courtney Kite, Corina Kwami, Monique Kwami, Danielle Kwami, Tatiana Calderon, Elizabeth Kite, Jacob Kwami, Peter Kite, Kyle Seifert, Juliana Kite, Rosemond Kwami, Christopher Seifert, Andrew Kite; one great-grandchild, Colin James Powell and a brother James Kite and his wife Irene. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 AM at the Church of St. Ann, 1253 Lawrence Rd., Lawrenceville. Burial will be in St. Ignatius Cemetery, Yardley, PA. Friends may call on Wednesday in the daily chapel at the Church of St. Ann from 9Am until time of Mass.
