My sincere sympathy to all the family. I know how much Uncle John will be missed. I have many memories of our families getting together and always Uncle John was at the center either with the accordian or the piano. I was always amazed when I would ask him to play a song and he'd say, sing a bit of it and then he would play it! WOW!
In church at various weddings or funerals I could always pick out where he was because of his strong wonderful voice!
On one of my birthdays we all were up at the cabin and he was playing the accordian - we were very young - maybe I was 11 which made Robert about 11 too. We were up on the Charcoal trail looking down at all the adults and laughing ... and Frannie snuck up behind us and scared us all- we went running down the mountain screaming and laughing! There was Uncle John calling that we should come join in the singing. It was so fun! I will really miss him!
Love to you all, Cecilia

Asside from the fact that Mr. Kite always confussed me as a child when he asked me well, are you being a good girl? and I proudly answered yes and his response ALWAYS was why not?. Mr. Kite was a wonderful man! I did not have a father in my life and they say you choose your husband to reflect your father. I just recently realized that I choose my husband to mimic HIM! Always there, involved with his children, loving, happy and most of all FUN! When I was little, in my most cherished memories are all the nights that he played the piano for us and we all danced around the living room singing and being funny. Also, the nights that the sound of his accordion drifted down Devon Avenue and I thought I would never get to sleep! I am truly blessed to have known him and to have had him and his wonderful family in my life! My hope for myself is that I can mimic a marriage as wonderful as theirs and children just as fabulous! I am proud to have the label of the 11th Kite. ----I love you all very much! PRAISE THE LORD!
