William D. Schenck, 83, of Levittown died peacefully at home on Sunday.
Born in Trenton, Bill was a resident of Levittown for the past 56 years. He retired from the State of New Jersey in 1995 as a Supervisor in the Department of the Treasury, Capital Services, after 19 years of service. Prior to his employment with the State of New Jersey he had been employed by American Bridge Division of U.S. Steel.
Bill was a proud Navy veteran having served during the Korean Conflict as an aviation electronics technician and was also a member of the Navy League.
Son of the late Isaac and Alice Eardley Schenck, and loving husband of over 50 years to the late Mary Elaine Kent Schenck, Bill is survived by his three children; William D. Schenck, Jr. and his wife Hanna; his daughters, Dianalaine Schenck and Bethann Santangelo and husband Donald; his grandchildren, William D. Schenck, III, David I. Schenck and Kaylyn Elaine Santangelo; his sister, Alice Fitzgeorge and several nieces and nephews
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 9:30 AM at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 325 South Oxford Valley Rd., Fairless Hills. Visitation for relatives and friends will be at the church from 8:30 AM until time of mass. Interment will be private in the Ewing Cemetery, Ewing, NJ
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Navy League of the United States, 2300 Wilson Blvd., Suite 200, Arlington, VA 22201-5424 or at www.navyleague.org.
