Anna Bielak Proniewski, 94, of Lawrenceville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Skilled Nursing Center surrounded by her daughter and son-in-law. Born in Trenton, Anna was a lifelong resident of Ewing. Anna retired from the Roller Bearing Company of America, where she was employed for 48 years. She was a lifelong parishioner and member of the Altar Rosary Society at St. Hedwig Church, a member of the Trenton Polish American Democratic Society “TPADS” and a member of the Catholic War Veterans #417 Ladies Auxiliary and several local senior groups. Her favorite past time was traveling with her late husband. They traveled to most every State in the United States, enjoyed trips to Europe, especially Poland. Anna also enjoyed her senior trips to AC, Broadway shows, and gardening; especially her azaleas. Anna was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Anna was predeceased by her parents, George and Victoria Ruszala Bielak; her siblings Mary Kozak, Josephine Rolleri, Valentine “Bill Bielak and Jan Bielak; and wife of the late John J. Proniewski to whom she was married for 57 years. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Carol and Robert Peterson; her granddaughter and her husband Nicole and Royal Bunin; 2 great-grandchildren Garrett Michael and Natasha Rose Bunin; 2 sisters-in-law Jean Kocubinski and Helen Proniewski; and several nieces, great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral services will begin at 10:30AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM at St. Hedwig Church, 872 Brunswick Avenue, Trenton, NJ 08638. Interment will follow at St. Hedwig Cemetery, Hamilton, NJ. Calling hours for Anna will be held on Friday, December 4, 2015 from 8:30-10:30AM at the funeral home. Anna’s family wishes to send a very special and heartfelt thank you to the Nurses and Staff at St. Joseph’s Skilled Nursing Center.
