Anthony L. Sebasto LAWRENCEVILLE – Anthony L. Sebasto, 88, of Lawrenceville, passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at the Atrium Post Acute Care of Lawrenceville with his loving family at his side.
Born in Trenton, NJ, Mr. Sebasto had resided in Lawrence Township for the past 51 years. Anthony was a Navy certified welder with Morris Wheeler, Inc in Trenton (formerly the Gas Construction Co) for 35 years retiring in 1998. He retired again in 2011 after serving 12 years for the Lawrence Township Police Department as a Crossing Guard at the intersection of Eggerts Crossing and Lawrenceville Road. He was an avid fisherman and dedicated much of his time to the care and beautification of Colonial Lake and the surrounding area. Anthony was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps who served during the Korean War and fought in the Battles of Seoul and the Chosin Reservoir. He was a very devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Son of the late Nicholas and Elizabeth nee Polo Sebasto; brother of the late Michael Sebasto and Martha Lester; husband of the late Livia Sebasto; he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Anthony and Anna Sebasto of Budd Lake, NJ; his grandchildren Brianna and Matthew Sebasto; his sister Mary Pallante of Ewing; his brothers Dominic Sebasto of Morrisville, PA Joseph Sebasto and his wife Lillian of Hamilton and Nicholas Sebasto, Jr and his wife Patricia of Pemberton, NJ; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will begin on Monday, November 30, 2015 at 9AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM at The Church of St. Ann 1253, Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville.
Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hamilton.
Relatives and friends can call on Sunday from 3-6PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Marine Corps League, Trenton Detachment #207, 547 Shiller Ave., Trenton, NJ 08610 Wounded Warriors Fund in memory of Anthony Sebasto.
