Mary Gibney

Obituary of Mary Elizabeth Gibney

Please share a memory of Mary to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
On November, 12, 2015, Mary (Betty) Gibney was escorted by The Lord to His Kingdom to be re-united with her husband (Bob Gibney), grandson (Evan Callahan), and family & friends who pre-deceased her. On this day, we lost a warrior who fought hard and loved generously throughout her 93 years (born October 12, 1922). Mom leaves behind a tribe of 38 through whom she lives on. Some of us inherited physical traits from this beautiful lady; such as her soft, pale skin or her twinkling eyes, annoying allergies, or predisposition to saw wood, i.e. snore. Some of us acquired or are developing talents that she mastered; such as being a GREAT cook, a loving caretaker, a fun companion, a builder of loving relationships with all ages, a patient listener and astute observer, and one devoted above all else to family. But ALL OF US will continue to benefit from gifts bestowed on her by the Holy Spirit which Mom/Gram shared with ease; her wisdom, understanding, and knowledge, her counsel, fortitude, and piety. We end with the following words from Love You Forever, by Robert Munsch……. “We’ll love you forever, we’ll like you for always, as long as we’re living our mommy you’ll be.” Hugs and Kisses from Bob (Wendy), Hugh (Diane), Susan, Kathy (Jim), and Mary Beth (John), and ALL your Loving Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Rosary Chapel at Morris Hall in Lawrenceville, NJ; short reception to follow.
