Scott Mckechnie, 59, of Lawrenceville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Compassionate Care Hospice, Trenton. Born in Manhattan, NY, he was a former resident of California and Colorado, before moving to Lawrenceville 25 years ago. Scott was a Diesel Mechanic for High Grade Beverage in Dayton, NJ. Some of his hobbies included fishing, NASCAR, and NHRA racing. Scott was a rider and enthusiast of vintage Harley Davidson motorcycles. Son of the late Ian “Mac” Mckechnie, husband of the late Carlene Mckechnie; he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Ian and Katie Mckechnie, his daughter Amber Mckechnie; his mother Connie Desmond; 2 sisters Connie Chalifoux and Nancy Tuliszewski; his niece and nephews Tarin, Evan and Bryn. A memorial gathering for Scott will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 from 5-7PM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. Funeral services will be private. Interment will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Scott’s memory to the Disabled American Veterans, VA Regional Office 20 Washington Place Newark, NJ 07102.
