Charles “Bud” W. Crate, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2015 at home. Born in Trenton, Bud was a lifelong resident of Lawrenceville. He was a member of the New Jersey Air Force National Guard from 1964-1970. Bud is a retiree of General Motors, where he was employed for 38 years as a tool & dye maker. Son of the late Stanford and Loretta Crate; he is survived by his sister Barbara Banasik; 2 nieces Bonnie Lynn Durcanin and Tracy Durcanin Hossler Voacolo; 2 great-nieces Ashley and Lauren Hossler; his cousin Richard Schieferstein (Sharlene); and several other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Bud will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at 2PM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. Interment will follow at Ewing Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 1PM until the time of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to VNA of Mercer County 171 Jersey Street, Trenton, NJ 08611.
