Mary Ann Walter, 77, of Hamilton, passed away peacefully, on Monday, December 29, 2014 at Compassionate Care Hospice surrounded by her loving family.
Born and raised in Trenton, Mary Ann was a resident of Hamilton for 57 years. She was a graduate of Cathedral High School and a member of its Alumni Association. Mary Ann was formerly employed with the NJ Department of Labor and later retired from the Hamilton Township Library. Mary Ann was a Parishioner at St. Vincent DePaul and was a member of the Rosary Altar Society and a Special Member of the 112th Field Artillery. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister-in-law and friend.
Daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Rogers, wife of the late Thomas C. Walter; she is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law Lynne Tomicki and Patricia and Frank Coniglio; her son and daughter-in-law Christian T. and Mary Rose Walter; seven grandchildren Stephanie Wallace (Tim), Shawn T. Gliem ( Laura), Stephan Drum, Sarah Drum, Christian T. Walter, Jr Angela Walter, Breana Tomicki; two great-grandchildren Katelyn and Jason Norton; three brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law Richard and Kathy Walter, William and Shirley Walter and Donald J. Walter; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will begin on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at 9:15AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30AM at St. Vincent DePaul, 555 Yardville-Allentown Road, Yardville, NJ 08620.
Interment will follow at Brigadier General Wm C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, N. Hanover, NJ.
Calling hours for Mary Ann will be held on Monday evening from 6-8PM and again on Tuesday morning from 8:45-9:15AM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Visitation Home Inc. 405 Yardville-Allentown Road, Yardville, NJ 08620.
