Bruce M. Bennett, 57, of Lawrenceville, died suddenly Monday, at his home. Born in Trenton, Bruce was a resident of Lawrenceville for the past 30 years. He was a former C.Y.O. basketball coach and was also a former baseball coach in both Ewing and Lawrence Township. But his devotion was always to his family, he always placed his wife and children first in his life. Bruce was employed by the Church of St. Ann as the caretaker for the Faith Development Center for many years and was a very active parishioner. He considered everyone at the church as his second family. Son of the late Mary Amburg Bennett he is survived by his loving wife Betty L. Davis Bennett, his children, Lisa M, Kyle T. and Lindsay T. Bennett; his father, William R. Bennett Sr; his brother, William R. Bennett, Jr; his father-in-law, Wendell D. Davis and his sister-in-law, Anna M. Preiss and her husband Glenn. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Bruce on Saturday at 10 AM at the Church of St. Ann, 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville. Burial will follow in the Ewing Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call on Friday from 6 to 8 PM at the Church of St. Ann Memorial contributions to honor Bruce may be made to the family, c/o the Church of St. Ann, 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.
