Obituary of Jeanette P. Melick

Jeanette P. Melick, 92, of Lawrenceville, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 28, 2014 with her loving family at her side. Born in Mt. Pleasant, NJ, Jeanette was a resident of Lawrenceville for 51 years. She is a retiree of the Lawrence Twp. Board of Education. Jeanette was a longtime member of Slackwood Presbyterian Church. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Daughter of the late Oscar,Sr. and Vera Philkill, wife of the late Harry A. Melick, she is survived by her son Roger D. Melick; 2 grandsons Brian Jeffrey and Daniel Scott; 2 brothers and one sister-in-law John Philkill of Florida and Oscar, Jr. and Doris Philkill of Milford, NJ; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held for Jeanette on Monday, March 31 at 10:00AM at Slackwood Presbyterian Church 2020 Brunswick Avenue, Lawrenceville. Relatives and friends can call on Sunday, March 30 from 4-7PM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. Interment will follow at Milford Union Cemetery, Milford, NJ. Memorial donations can be made to Slackwood Presbyterian Church 2020 Brunswick Avenue, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.
