Obituary of Joseph McQuade

Joseph R. McQuade, 83, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 10, 2014. He graduated from Trenton State College in 1958, and taught English at South Hunterdon Regional High School. He then attended Xavier University, Cincinnati, Ohio, where he received a Master’s degree in English Literature. In 1979-1980 he received a degree in Library Science from Rutgers University. He worked for the State of New Jersey as a Law Librarian in the State Library, and retired in 1993. He was preceded in death by his parents Anastasia (Russell) and Joseph J. McQuade and his brother Maurice W. McQuade. He is survived by his beloved sister, Regina Zeise. Joseph is also survived by several nieces and nephews: Kathleen Catogge, Maureen Pettine, Maryclare McQuade, Otto Zeise, Joseph McQuade and Mark McQuade Calling hours will be held Friday from 9-10AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. A Memorial service will follow at 10AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
