Obituary of Loretta C. Crate

Loretta C. Crate, 99, of Lawrenceville died Friday December 27, 2013 at Capital Health Regional Medical Center, Trenton. Born in Lamington, NJ she was a former resident of Somerville until 1938 at which time she moved to Lawrenceville. Loretta was a graduate of Somerville High School and the Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing in Newark. She retired from Helen Fuld Hospital in 1974. She was a member of the Slackwood Presbyterian Church and the Lawrence Township Senior Citizens Club # 1. Loretta is survived by her son, Charles W. Crate; a daughter, Barbara Crate Banasik; two grandchildren, Bonnie Lynn Durcanin and Tracy Durcanin Hossler Voacolo and husband Jeff; two great-grandchildren, Ashley and Lauren Hossler; a brother, Charles C. Craig and a sister-in-law, Mary of Kutztown, PA; many nieces and nephews, her name sake, Loretta Myles Wallerstein and all of the Hossler family. Loretta was predeceased by her husband Stanford Crate in 2004, a sister Doris Schieferstein and brother-in-law John; and a brother, Henry Craig and sister-in-law Hazel. Private family funeral services were held at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville with burial following in the Ewing Cemetery.
