Obituary of Theda E. D'Abronzo

Theda Evelyn Bushnell D’Abronzo, 71, of Yardville, passed away on Wednesday at her daughter’s home in Willingboro, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Philadelphia, Pa, Theda was a resident of South Trenton, before moving to Yardville 10 years ago. She retired from Mercerville Nursing Home, where she was employed as a Nurses Aid for many years. Theda was Sergeant of Arms with the South Trenton Democratic Club, a member of Liberty Rescue Ladies Auxiliary, board worker for the Trenton Elections Committee for 30 years and a volunteer with the Dept. of Labor Toy Drive for 27 years. Theda was an avid dog lover and enjoyed crocheting, gardening and cooking. She enjoyed traveling and taking many trips to Atlantic City, Niagara Falls, Hershey Park, Great Adventure, Salt Lake City, Florida and spending time at her trailer in Tuckerton. She supported her husband in everything he did and was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She is survived by her husband John Carman D’Abronzo, Sr.; her daughter and son-in-law Michele McVicker and Paul Kaiser; two sons and daughters-in-law John C. D’Abronzo, Jr. and LaNeta, George and Theresa D’Abronzo; 8 grandchildren Keith (Lindsey), Christopher, Pat, Anna, Allison, Audrey, Spencer and Kyle; her great-grandson Logan; her brother George Bushnell; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11AM at the funeral home. Relatives and friends can call on Monday, August 19, 2013 from 6-8PM and again on Tuesday from 10-11AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. Interment will be held at Fountain Lawn Memorial Park, Ewing, NJ.
