Obituary of Doris M. DiDonato

Doris M. DiDonato, 92, of Lawrenceville, died on Sunday at Lawrenceville Nursing and Rehabilitation. Born in Baltimore, MD she was a Lawrenceville resident most of her life. Doris was employed as the office manager of the Carl F. Jacobelli Construction Company for many years before her retirement. Doris was member of the Slackwood Presbyterian Church, and had volunteered many years for Meals on Wheels. She enjoyed reading and teaching her granddaughters how to read, write and count to ten. Doris was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and friend. Daughter of the late Phillip and Louise Poulsen Greiser, and wife of the late Vincent DiDonato, she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Susan DiDonato, her granddaughters: Katie DiDonato and her fiancé Cory McDonald, and Samantha DiDonato, her sister-in-law, Josephine DiDonato, and her nephew, Dwaine DiDonato and his wife Diane. Her funeral services will be celebrated on Thursday at 11 a.m. at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville with Rev. Dawn Flippin, pastor of The Slackwood Presbyterian Church, officiating. Friends may call on Thursday morning from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Doris’ name to the American Cancer Society, 2600 US Hwy 1, North Brunswick, NJ 08902.
