Obituary of Florence Sorento

Florence Sorento, 85, of Lawrenceville, passed away on Thursday at St. Joseph’s Skilled Nursing Center at Morris Hall, Lawrenceville. Born in Wilkes-Barre, PA, she was a longtime resident of Trenton, before recently moving to Lawrenceville. Florence retired from Antheil Elementary School, where she was employed as a Teacher’s Aide. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Daughter of the late Clement and Josephine Kerpet, sister of the late Clement Kerpet and Bernadine Abbott, sister-in-law of the late Fr. Armand Sorento and Richard Sorento; she is survived by her husband Joseph C. Sorento; 2 daughters and sons-in-law Mary Ann Sorento (Raymond Hencken), Dr. Joann Sorento (Philip Gerhart); her son and daughter-in-law Joseph C. Sorento, II (Pam); her grandchildren Nicholas and Summer Sorento; her sister Mary Kozak, her sister-in-law Ro Sorento; several nieces, nephews and many wonderful friends. Funeral services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. The family wishes to thank all of the caring nurses and staff of St. Mary’s Assisted Living and St. Joseph’s Skilled Nursing Center at Morris Hall, Lawrenceville, NJ.
