Obituary of George Marcel Franc

George M. Franc, 81, of Lawrenceville died Thurday at Care One in Ewing Township. Born in Cernier, Switzerland, he was a resident of Lawrenceville for over 50 years. Mr. Franc was a retired baker and was the founder and former owner of the Swiss Bakery in Lawrenceville. Son of the late Marcel and Alice Schaer Franc, and husband of the late Ruth Franc, he is survived by five sons John Franc and his wife Lenore, Gilbert Franc and his wife Sandra, Daniel (George) Franc and his companion Joan Williams,Michel Franc and his wife Kathleen and Jacques Franc and his wife Donna. Also surviving are his grandchildren Joseph Franc, Rachel Eisele and her husband Chris, Jillian Franc, Douglas Franc, Katie Franc, Laura Franc, Ashley Franc, Brianne Franc, Jamie Franc, Justin Franc, Michael Franc, and Nicholas Franc, a great grandchild Morgan Franc-Eisele, a sister May Voisin and his close companion Marie Van Sant. The funeral will be private and burial will be in the Ewing Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions in Mr. Franc's memory be made to the American Cancer Society, 3076 Princeton Pike, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648 or to the charity of the donors choice.
