Walter L. Gable Jr., 86, of Lawrenceville, died at home on Wednesday Born in Trenton, he had resided in Lawrenceville since 1948. Mr. Gable had been a general contractor before owning and operating Walter L. Gable Realty in Trenton. He worked as a Property Negotiator for the New Jersey State Department of Transportation, Right of Way Department, before retiring in 1991. Mr. Gable was a member and served for many years as the Treasurer of the Communications Workers of America Local #1032. He was also an avid coin collector for over fifty years. Son of the late Walter L. Gable Sr. and Florence Amison Gable, and husband of the late Lucille Czajkowski Gable he is survived by his four sons; Bruce Gable and his wife Carol of Boynton Beach, FL, Kevin Gable and his wife Judith of Morrisville, PA, Craig Gable of Downingtown, PA, and Christopher Gable of Los Angeles, CA, his grandchildren; Jonathan, Jason, Michael, Shawn, Scott, Laura and Chelsie Gable, his great grandsons; Justin, Matthew and Michael Gable, his sister Evelyn Stout and two nephews. The funeral will be held on Monday at 11AM from Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville. Burial will be in the St. Hedwig Cemetery, Ewing. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 4 PM at the funeral home.
