Uncle Sam taught me how to play golf so I could impress my boyfriend, Bobby Cox. It must have worked, because Bob and I have been marrided for over 40 years. At any rate, we'll miss Uncle Sam

Rest in Peace Sam. I will forever remember 13 years of nightly visits that you made to our home on Main Street, then later holding my breath while you pushed your first grandchild too high in his baby swing on the porch. You laughed when you taught him his very first bad word (by mistake of course). I will always remember how you called the kids silly names like knucklehead and slipped them quarters just because you could. We all enjoyed your evening visits to our home in Pennington right up until the time we moved out of state. You were a wonderful and loving grandfather and I'm glad to have had the privilege to call you my father-in-law for a time. You were very much loved and will be missed.
