Obituary of Robert B. Miller

Robert B. Miller, 85, of Lawrenceville died Friday at St. Joseph’s Skilled Nursing Unit at Morris Hall in Lawrenceville Born in Trenton, Bob was a Lawrenceville resident most of his life. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the United States Navy. Bob graduated from Rider College with a degree in accounting. He was an accountant for RCA David Sarnoff in Princeton for 30 years before retiring. Bob was a life member of the National Association of Accountants, and charter member of the Trenton Elks B.P.O.E #105. He was also a member and past trustee for the Lawrence Elks B.P.O.E. #2412. Bob was past treasurer of the Lawrence Road Fire Company, past treasurer of the Lawrence Township First Aid Squad and past treasurer of the Swartwood Yacht Club. He was a member of Rider College Class of 1951, and was awarded The Alumni of the Year, the VFW Post #3022, the Lawrence Township Republican Club, past finance officer and life member of Lawrence Township American Legion Post #414, and was awarded Citizen of the Year in 2006. Son of the late Charles J. and Marion B. Darylrymple Miller, he is survived by his wife, Gladys J. Stoll Miller, his two sons and daughters-in-law; William C. and Marcia L. Miller, and Richard J. and Sharon N. Miller, his daughter and son-in-law, Leslie S. and Anthony Marrazzo, his eight grandchildren; Jacob W. and Charlotte G. Miller, Matthew R., Joseph A., Anthony J., and Ashley Marrazzo, John L. Gladwell Jr., and Kelsy E. Estep his sister Marilyn Jean Miller, his brother and sister-in-law, Richard W. and Jeanette Miller and several nieces and nephews. Bob’s funeral service will be on Tuesday at 11 AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville with Rev Nina Reeder, pastor of the Lawrence Road Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Ewing Church Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 6 PM to 8PM at the funeral home.
