Obituary of Elizabeth D Strapp

Elizabeth D. Strapp, 94, of Lawrenceville, died Tuesday at St. Francis Medical Center. Born in Lawrenceville, she resided there all of her life. She graduated from Douglass College class of 1936. Mrs. Strapp retired as a librarian from the NJ State Law Library in Trenton after 20 years of service. She was a member of The Church of St. Ann. Daughter of the late James and Elizabeth Clinton Dorety and wife of the late Francis “Frank” J. Strapp, Esquire, she is survived by her two sons, Paul E. Strapp and his wife Wilma, and Francis J. Strapp Jr. and his wife Janetta, her two daughters, Barbara Strapp Nelson and her husband Jeffrey, and Betty Meagher and her husband Jim, her grandchildren, Philip, Peter, David, Michael, and Christine Strapp, and Beth and Jeff Meagher, and her great grandchildren, Marcella Lena Strapp, and William Meagher. Also surviving is her brother, James C. Dorety, and many nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held on Friday at 10 AM from Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM in The Church of St. Ann in Lawrenceville. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Hamilton Township. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions in Elizabeth's memory be made to The Church of St. Ann, 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648 or to St. Francis Medical Center Foundation, 601 Hamilton Avenue, Trenton, NJ 08629
