Barbara P. Misciascio, 69, of Hamilton Township, passed away on Wednesday at Capital Health Center Mercer Campus on Wednesday with her loving family by her side. Born in New York City, she moved to Pennington, where she graduated from Pennington Central High School, class of 1956. She retired in 2004 from Nexus Properties, and she had also formerly worked for Manpower, Marathon Metals and Certified Steel. Barbara was a devoted and cherished wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She loved to entertain family and friends at her home. She was the light of the family, making holidays and family events special for everyone. She enjoyed baking cookies at Christmas with her family, reading, gardening, bingo and playing cards with friends and trips to Atlantic City. Barbara loved to travel with her husband, and they truly enjoyed their life together. She will forever be loved and missed by her family ands friends. Daughter of the late Edward and Mary Muggo Avidano, she is survived by her loving husband John Misciascio, a daughter Linda Dilts and her husband William Dilts, Jr., three sons, Richard Evans, John Lambert and his wife Daisy and Nicholas Misciascio and his wife Margaret. Also surviving are grandchildren Stephanie Evans, Jessica, Matthew, and Jason Dilts, and Thomas and Charlotte Misciascio, two sisters Angela Marcoline and Christine Keresztury, nephews; Alfred Hicks, Jr. and his wife Cathy, Gregory Keresztury, Joseph Misciascio, Jr., and Frank Yeager Jr.; nieces Jenna, Megan, and Kelsey Misciascio and a grand niece and nephew Jonathan and Megan Hicks; brothers-in-law Dominick Misciascio and Joseph Misciascio and his wife Susan and a sister-in-law Angela Yeager and her husband Frank and a special friend Chrissie Vincent. The funeral will be held on Monday at 10 AM from Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM in the Church of St. Ann in Lawrenceville. Burial will be in the Lawrenceville Cemetery. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
