Dorothy Y. Opdyke, 92, of Red Bank, died Wednesday at the home of her daughter in Ewing Township.
Born in East Orange, she had resided most of her life in Red Bank.
Dorothy was a retired utilization review clerk with the Riverview Medical Center and later with the Bayshore Hospital.
She was predeceased by her parents Harry and Maryellen McNulty Young, her husband Carmen E. Opdyke, and her daughter Melissa Jane Opdyke.
Dorothy is survived by her four daughters and three sons-in-law Marcella R. and George Byrd III, Tracy McClain, Pamela and Carl Dillow, and Duane and George Moore. Also surviving are seven grandchildren Joshua and Abigail Dillow, Maryellen McClain, Jacob Moore, Melissa Byrd Jacobs, Amanda Byrd and George Byrd IV, two great grandchildren Kailey and Kallista Jacobs, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held on Saturday at 9 AM from Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrenceville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel R.C. Church in West Trenton.
Interment will be in the Hollywood Memorial Park in Union.
Family and friends may call on Friday from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
