Obituary of Josephine Kanda

Josephine Kanda, 80, formerly of Ewing Township, died Sunday at the Pavilions at Forrestal in Plainsboro.
Born in Stamford, CT., she had resided most of her life in Ewing Township.
Josephine was a retired teacher’s aide with the Ewing Township Board of Education.
She was a member of the Church of St. Ann and the Altar Rosary Society.
Wife of the late Joseph C. Kanda, she is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law Mary and John Knierim, Bernadette and Orville Tillettt, and a son Michael Kanda. Also surviving are six grandchildren Brittany, Jaime, and Kyle Tillett, Douglas Cambridge, Alysia and Melaney Kanda, and two sisters Jean Pensiero and Mary Lupinacci.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11:30 AM at The Church of St. Ann in Lawrenceville. Burial will be in the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery in Arneytown.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 10 to 11 AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions in Josephine’s memory be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 400 Morris Avenue, Suite 251, Denville, NJ 07834.
