Obituary of Joan Toth Zeis

Joan Zeis, 78, of Lawrenceville, passed away on Thursday at Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Francis Medical Center in Trenton. Born in Trenton, she was a life long Lawrenceville resident. Mrs. Zeis was a secretary for the Lawrence Township Board of Education for thirty one years before retiring in 1994. Joan was a devoted wife and mother who had a wonderful sense of humor, and a kind heart. Daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Lenyo Toth, and mother of the late Karen Carroll Klidzia, she is survived by her loving husband, Frank Zeis, her daughter and son-in-law, Kathy Novak and Bob Leming, her two sons and daughters-in-law; Tom and Barbara Zeis, and Gary and Jackie Zeis, her ten grandchildren; Chris and Raymond Novak, Patricia, Denise, James and Melissa Carroll, Erika, Eric, and Jessica Zeis, and Nicole Giangrasso, and her five great grandchildren; Caleb Crist, Drew, and Evan Pringle, and Jerome and Anthony Giangrasso. Also surviving are her two nephews, Fr. Gabriel Zeis, and Joseph Zeis, and her sister-in-law, Marie Zeis. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11:30 AM at The Church of St. Ann, 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville. Burial will be in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Hamilton.
