Obituary of Peter Harmon
Peter “Pete" Harmon, 84, of Lawrenceville, passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Copaique, NY, he was a lifelong resident of Lawrenceville. Peter is Veteran of the Vietnam War, where he proudly served his country with the US Army. He is a retiree of the Lawrence Township Police Department, where he was a police officer for 26 years. Pete was an avid NY Giants and NY Mets fan. He enjoyed gardening, always proud of his annual tomato crop! Pete was an antique car aficionado and the proud owner of a 1928 Model A. He was a lifelong volunteer at Slackwood Volunteer Fire Company where he still enjoyed his morning hot chocolate everyday with his friends. He was a loving father, grandfather, uncle and friend who will dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Son of the late Herbert G. and Janet Harmon, brother of the late John (Elaine) Harmon, husband of the late Anne Carol Harmon, father of the late Mark Harmon; he is survived by his children and their spouses Jennifer and Michael Yurko, Jessica and Adam Butera; his daughter-in-law Jodi Harmon; his grandchildren Katie and Charlie Yurko, Christopher, Molly, and Ryan Harmon, James and Sophia Butera; two nieces Wendy and Debbie Harmon.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at 12:00PM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.
Interment will be held at Highland Cemetery, Hopewell.
The viewing for Peter will be held on Tuesday morning from 10:00AM-12:00PM at the funeral home.
