I have so many beautiful memories of Aunt Loretta. As a child, our families vacationing in Wildwood for so many years, the great picnics at Adam’s & Ann’s, birthday parties & holidays, my dad & Loretta playing cards (hysterical) & on & on. As a teen & an adult, we would go to Englishtown Flea Market a couple of times a month. She loved going to Freehold for Fed’s pizza & Wemrock’s for fruit pies. Living on Mulberry St., I had the perfect location for yard sales & she always brought her stuff over to sell. If I was slow in having another one, she was quick to call & remind me it was yard sale time. She was always someone I could talk to, knowing she wouldn’t run back & tell my mom & dad, lol. She was always so upbeat & quick to laugh. She was one of my favorite people & I was so blessed to have her in my life. She will be so very missed. Final memory: we were all at Adam’s & Ann’s for a picnic & Paula stepped on the hot grate for the grill barefooted. I was pretty young, but I clearly remember Loretta just saying, “OMG, OMG, Paula what did you do?” & never missing a beat in playing cards. That was a long-told story in our family for years & one we often teased Loretta about.
