Obituary of Angela Marie Oakley
Angela Marie Oakley, 88, of Lawrenceville, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 7, 2024 at Penn Medicine, Princeton, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Astoria, NY, Angela was a longtime resident of Lawrenceville. She was a graduate of Cathedral Girls High School, Class of 1953. Angela is a retiree from Lawrenceville Fuel, where she was a secretary for many years. She was a longtime parishioner at St. Michael’s Church and was a member of the Secret Pal Club. Some of her hobbies included bingo, trips to Atlantic City on Starr Tours, and listening to WPST 94.5 morning show and was an avid Philadelphia sports fan. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Predeceased by her parents James J. and Antoinette Delvecchio, her father-in-law and mother-in-law Thomas and Mary Oakley, her sister Susan Powell, her sisters-in-law Dorothy Parker and Lorraine Oakley, her brothers-in-law John Seckinger, Roger Brown and Thomas Oakley; she is survived by her husband John P. “Jack” Oakley, Sr.; her son John P. “Jack” , Jr. Oakley (Samantha), her daughter Donna Oakley, her son Michael Oakley (Lisa); her granddaughters Gianna Oakley (Drazen), Emma Oakley; her sister Josephine Seckinger; sisters-in-law Mary Brown and Rita Formaroli; brothers-in-law Theodore Formaroli, and Richard Powell; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at 11:30AM at The Church of St. Ann, 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.
Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Hamilton.
The visitation for Angela will be held on Wednesday morning from 9:30-11:30AM at The Church of St. Ann. There are no calling hours at the funeral home.
