Obituary of Andre Forcier
Andre Forcier, age 76, of Lawrenceville, passed away on Monday June 3rd, 2024 in Hopewell Borough, NJ.
Born in Quebec, Canada, Andre worked as a lineman for IBEW Canada. In 1968, the union offered him the opportunity to work in the United States and was transferred to different locations in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. In 1973, he started his own residential tree business, Andre Forcier Economy Tree Service. In 1976, he purchased a property in Lawrenceville, NJ where he ended up building his home, expanding his business and raising his family. In 2023, Andre retired from the tree business but always loved doing tree work and dealing with bucket trucks and equipment. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved making people laugh and told many stories and jokes. He was a 31-year faithful member of Alcoholics Anonymous. Over those decades, he established a friend group and support team that he cherished along his path of sobriety. Above all else, Andre’s greatest joy came from time spent with family and friends and he adored his role as “Pop Pop” for his grandsons.
Son of the late Alberic and Fridoline Forcier, father of the late Eric Forcier, sister Suzanne Forcier and sister-in-law Nicole Forcier. He is survived by his loving wife Denise of 55 years of marriage, his two daughters and son-in-laws, Vickie and Ken Sikorski of Robbinsville, NJ and Michele and Gabe Gilligo of Chesterfield, NJ and his four grandson’s Kenny, Travis, Jordan and Derek. He is also survived by his two brothers and sister-in-law, Jean-Guy and Collette Forcier, Claude Forcier, his four sisters and three brother in laws, Pierette and Jean-Guy Bourassa, Lisette and Jean Pierre Cyr, Helene and Daniel Labonte and Danielle Forcier along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The visitation for Andre will be held on Monday, June 10th from 5 to 8 pm at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors at 650 Lawrence Rd, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at 10:30 am at The Church of St. Ann, 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. Attendees are asked to arrive no later than 10:15AM on Tuesday morning.
Interment will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
