Felix O’Reilly, 97, of Lawrenceville, passed away peacefully on Friday January 5, 2024 at The Terraces at Lawrence.
Born in Moyne Co Longford, Ireland he was a long-time resident of the Lawrenceville area. Felix immigrated to the United States to be with his loving wife Teresa in 1961. He worked for the Lawrenceville School as a painter for over 32 years before retiring.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and a friend to all. He was always ready to greet you with a smile, his crystal blue Irish eyes and his famous Irish brogue. He loved to be with his family and always loved a good laugh. He was a long-time parishioner of St. Ann’s Church in Lawrenceville and always made sure that the shiny red doors on the old St. Ann’s Church were always well painted. He was an avid fan of the New York Rangers and watched every game that he could.
Felix is predeceased by his wife Teresa who passed away in December 2021. He was also predeceased by his siblings, Father Michael O’Reilly, Brigid Crotty, Thomas Reilly, Edward Reilly, John Reilly and Charles Reilly.
Son of the late Thomas and Margaret Reilly; he is survived by his sister Margaret Dolan of Co Cavan Ireland and by his 4 sons and their spouses Kevin and Anita O’Reilly, Brendan and Maureen O’Reilly, Eamon and Cathy O’Reilly, Dermot and Barbara O’Reilly; 9 Grandchildren, 1 Great-Grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday January 13, 2024 at 10AM at the Church of St. Ann located at 1253 Lawrenceville Road. Lawrenceville, NJ 08648
Burial will be held at the Lawrenceville Cemetery on Route 206 in Lawrenceville, NJ.
Visitation for Felix will be held on Friday January 12, 2024 from 5-7 PM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.
