Janet and I became friends at Ben Franklin School. I was the “other” kindergarten teacher where in fact I quickly learned what a true mentor was. She taught me so much as I was an elementary school major not early childhood. We kept in touch over the years by an occasional meal and Christmas cards every year. I am so saddened to hear of her passing. She was truly a compassionate, loving, and supportive friend to me. She will truly be missed. I am so happy I have a cross stitch Christmas ornament she made for me years ago to remind me every year of our friendship. She was wonderful! ❤️
