I remember Jack Johnson III as a kind, caring, personal Uncle. Uncle Jack was always there when I needed someone to talk to. He would talk to me when I was troubled. He cared and he was in my corner. And he believed in me that I could achieve in life. He was my friend and I'll always remember him.

Memory for Dear Friend Jack and His Family,
The pleasure of Jack’s company will be deeply missed. The times that we shared over the past decades are memories that will always be adorning and beautiful. The collection of characteristics that defined and motivated Jack contributed to his uniqueness and strong sense of self. Our friendship will always be beneficial to me as I live and work to fully embrace life through Jack’s examples of valuing self and others, as well as, understanding our purpose in life.
Peace and grace,
Everene D. Downing

I spent a lot of time at the Johnson's home as a teenager. Mr. Johnson always treated me like I was part of the crew. Rest in power Mr. Jack Johnson. Love you,
LaKisha Overton & family.

Dear Family of Mr Johnson,
From the Lieggi Family of Saint Ann's from 1953 to 2023, I remember him, every 11 o'clock mass singing at the podium with the choir, as a Knight of Columbus Council 7000, I saw him on the second floor, no one can deny that I was a knight of 7000 from 2003 to 2018. There were few African Americans as Knights in 7000, all you do is check the membership, like Jackie Robinson, I believe he was the first, kept to himself. I quit because of Mom and Dad's health, but they would in heaven agree with me, this man was a great part of the council, the church, and the choir, never looking for awards, but acceptance. He got it. Rest in Peace Grand Knight!
Pete Lieggi
