Obituary of Beverley A. Dey

Beverley Ann Dey of Ewing, NJ passed away Saturday September 2nd, 2023 at the age of 80 after battling illness for several years. Beverley was born in Trenton where she spent her childhood until moving to Ewing Township. She resided there for the last 56 years with her husband and love of her life, Richard E. Dey. Beverley was a fierce mother to her loving daughter, Nicole Dey, who she never stopped looking out for until the day she passed. She showed that same love and concern to her 3 grandchildren Eric Moore, Stephanie Hall and David Moore, who recently passed in May. His passing broke her heart. Beverley loved to fish with her family. She was an artist who loved to paint and create stained glass treasures. Beverley was a force of nature and mastered anything that caught her interest. She loved planting flowers and gardening. She collected tea pots, cat figurines and various antique trinkets. She would go to the ends of the Earth for anyone she cared about. Beverley worked as the Ewing Township Traffic Secretary under Harry Masterson and John Hutchinson for 26 years until she retired. She started her secretarial career working for the state of New Jersey for 7 years before settling in at the township. Daughter of the late James Clayton and Grace Painter Bushnell, she was pre-deceased by her grandson David Alan Moore. Beverley is survived by her loving husband of 61 years Richard E. Dey, daughter Nicole and husbandTypePerson Mark Frederickson. She also leaves behind 2 loving grandchildren Eric Moore and Stephanie Hall, great grandson Demitri Caleb Dillow of Illinois, her sister Shirley Lewis and her husband Scott and a loving nephew Gary Cheeseman and his son Gary Jr. She will also be missed by her dear cousin William Painter and life long friend Marylou Arcamone. Beverley leaves behind many other cousins, distant family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 11 at 10:45 AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors located at 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, New Jersey 08648. Burial will be held at Ewing Cemetery located at 78 Scotch Road, Ewing, New Jersey 08628. The viewing for Beverley will be held Sunday September 10 from 6 - 8 PM and again on Monday from 10 - 10:45 AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors.
