Obituary of Anthony J. Burzachiello

Anthony J. Burzachiello,75, of Lawrenceville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 3, 2023 at home. Born in Trenton, NJ, he was a longtime resident of Lawrenceville. Anthony is a Veteran of the Vietnam War from 1970-1971 where he proudly served his county with the US Army. He served in “A” Btry 1/44 Artillery. Anthony was wounded during combat and was a Purple Heart Recipient. Anthony is a retiree of the State of New Jersey, where he was a mechanic for 30 years. With an unyielding list of hobbies too many to list, he enjoyed tinkering and famously said “I can fix anything but a broken heart”! Anthony was a proud member of AA and his 30 years of sobriety. He was also a mentor at the Malvern Retreat House. Anthony was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend and uncle. Son of the late Anthony and Rose Burzachiello, brother of the late Ralph, Salvatore, Robert Burzachiello and Stella Cashel, he is survived by his wife of 50 years Josephine Burzachiello; his son Michael Burzachiello and his children Adriana and Giani; his daughter and son-in-law Stefanie and Jim Ogle and their children Regan, Kiera and Harper; his sister and brother-in-law Joanne and Carlton Schooley; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 10:00AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. Interment will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hamilton. The viewing for Anthony will be held on Friday afternoon from 4-7PM and again on Saturday morning from 9-10AM at the funeral home.
