Obituary of Romana Lewandowska

Romana Lewandowska, 85, of Bordentown, NJ, passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2023 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton. Born in Poland, she immigrated to the United States 30 years ago. Romana was an economist in Poland and was a homemaker caring for her children and grandchildren. She was a parishioner at St. Hedwig Church for many years. Some of her hobbies included entertaining, time spent with family and friends, and telling stories to the neighborhood kids. Daughter of the late Jan and Helena Kochanski, mother of the late Maciej Lewandowski, wife of the late Henryk Lewandowski, her late granddaughter Alicia; she is survived by her daughter Dr. Alina Lyons and her husband Gary Glicker, her son Daniel Lewandowski and daughter-in-law Marzena; her grandchildren Magdalena and her family, Kamil and his family, and Valerie and her husband Tom; her sisters and brothers Barbara, Marysia, Richard, Stanislaw and Jurek; several nieces, nephews and cousins; especially her caretaker, companion, and special friend Ela, along with her lifelong friends Renata and her family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 25, 2023 at 11:00AM at St. Hedwig Church, 872 Brunswick Avenue, Trenton, NJ 08638. Interment will follow at St. Hedwig Cemetery, Ewing Twp. Visitation for Romana will be held on Friday morning from 9:30-10:30AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.
