Obituary of Evelyn A. Bobko

Evelyn A Bobko,94, of Trenton, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 14, 2023 at home with her loving children by her side.
Born in Trenton, NJ, Evelyn remained a lifelong Trenton resident. She worked in Trenton at a porcelain company painting figurines and later in the main office at Stokes (Home Rubber), before raising her family and becoming a homemaker. Evelyn was a lifelong parishioner at St. Hedwig Church, involved with St. Hedwig’s Grammar School PTA and longtime member of St. Hedwig’s Rosary Society. Some of her hobbies included crocheting, reading, crossword puzzles, family vacations to Seaside Park and Long Beach Island. She was proud of her Polish heritage and enjoyed cooking various Polish meals including homemade pierogies, as well as baking babka, cakes and various cookies.
Daughter of the late Joseph and Charlotte Dura, wife of the late Eugene A. Bobko, sister of the late Joseph (Charlotte) Dura, Robert (Rita) Dura, and Genevieve (Joseph) Sarafin, sister-in-law of the late Robert Bobko; she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Mary Jeanne and John Dunlap, her son Gary Bobko; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 11:00AM at St. Hedwig Church, 872 Brunswick Avenue, Trenton, NJ 08638.
Interment will be held at St. Hedwig Cemetery, Ewing.
A visitation will be held on Saturday morning from 9:00-10:30AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
