Obituary of Ilse I. Henn

Ilse I. Henn, 96, of Plainsboro, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 31, 2023 at Maplewood at Princeton, Plainsboro, NJ Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was a longtime resident of Long Island, before moving to Plainsboro. She retired from National Sonics in Hauppauge, NY, where she was employed as an in-house salesperson for many years after starting as an executive secretary. She enjoyed visits to and from her family, entertaining at her pride-and-joy house in Old Bethpage and shopping (especially jewelry). Daughter of the late Ernst and Gertrude Behnke, wife of the late Arthur E. Henn, she is survived by sons Arthur, Russell (Kathy) and Douglas (Kathleen); her beloved grandchildren Alex, Owen, Tara, Erin, Bryan and Kristen. She is survived by her brother Axel Behnke (Marie) and was predeceased by her brother Ralph Behnke (Gisela). The visitation will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2023 from 1-4PM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. A prayer service will begin at 3:30PM. Graveside services and interment will be held on Monday, August 7, 2023 at 12:30PM at Calverton National Cemetery 210 Princeton Blvd, Calverton, NY 11933. Telephone number (631) 727-5410.
