Obituary of Mary Ann Wald

Mary Ann Wald, 82, of Ewing Township, passed away suddenly at her home on May 29, 2023. Mary Ann was born and raised in Trenton, NJ before moving to Ewing Township with her family in 1975. She worked as an Executive Assistant at several companies before retiring in 2010 from her final employer, Fox Rothschild in Princeton, NJ. She was an avid reader and once she retired enjoyed relaxing while watching her favorite daytime soap. Daughter of the late Donald & Helen Wald, Mary Ann lived with and cared for her parents until their passing. She took great pride in caring for the home that she continued to share with her bothers, Robert E. Wald and the late David G. Wald. She shared her life with her best friend of over 70 years, Julianne (Jill) Martinette (deceased) and Jill’s family. They were always there for each other and Mary Ann became like a second mother to Jill’s children, Yvette Martinette, Yvonne George, Tara O’Leary and Mary Martinette, who have always lovingly referred to her as “Waldo”. Mary Ann is survived by her twin brother, Robert E. Wald, and two cousins, Harry R. Hill, Jr. and William H. Kelly. A service will be held for Mary Ann on Thursday, June 8, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrence Township, NJ 08648. Interment will immediately follow at Riverview Cemetery in Trenton, NJ. Visitation will be that morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
