Obituary of Nicholas J. Patanella

Nicholas J. Patanella, 42, of Lawrenceville, NJ, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at Chandler Hall Hospice, Newtown, PA, with his loving family by his side. Born in Princeton, NJ, he was a lifelong resident of Lawrenceville. Nick was a graduate of Lawrence High School, Class of 1998, and went on to earn his associates degree in finance from Mercer County Community College. He was employed as a security guard at ETS in Lawrenceville for 20 years, and later was employed by ShopRite Markets in Pennington. Nick loved sports, in his teens he set the highest season average in the Mercer County Jr. Bowling League at Colonial Lanes. Along with his brother, he really enjoyed pro wrestling and has been an avid NY Giants and Mets fan. In 2017, he was inducted into the Lawrence High School Hall of Fame as a Special Contributor. Nick was a loving and devoted son, brother, uncle and friend who will be dearly missed, he is survived by his parents Richard and Judith Patanella; his sister Lisa Fasanella and her fiancé Wally Hlewicki, his brother Michael Patanella; his nephew Andrew Fasanella and his niece Emily Fasanella. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at 12:00 PM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. Interment will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. The visitation for Nick will be held on Friday evening from 6-8 PM and Saturday morning from 10-12 Noon at the funeral home.
