Obituary of Lois C. Carde

Lois C. Carde, 96, of Lawrenceville, passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2022 at home in the house that she and her late husband Elbert built. Born on Millerick Avenue in Lawrence Twp., she remained a lifelong township resident. Lois was formerly employed by Goodall Rubber and later retired from New Jersey Manufacturers Company , where she was employed as an administrative assistant. She was a longtime member of the Lawrence Road Presbyterian Church, served as a deacon of the church, and was a member of Lawrence Road Quilters. Some of her hobbies included sewing, wildlife and bird watching. Daughter of the late Leroy and Gertrude Cranstoun, wife of the late Elbert Stott and Ernest Carde; sister of the late L. Bruce Cranstoun; she is survived by her sister Joyce Tallman; several nieces, nephews, her granddaughter Joy Hoscheck; her great-granddaughters Jessica Hoscheck and Melyana Miranda, and her beloved caregivers Christina and Imelda. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 18, 2022 at 11:00AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. Interment will be held at the Lawrenceville Cemetery, Lawrence Twp. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held on Friday morning from 10-11AM at the funeral home.
