Obituary of Martha M. Burns

Martha M. Burns, 86, of Groveville, passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2022 peacefully in her sleep at home. Born in Trenton, NJ, she was a longtime resident of Groveville, NJ. Martha retired as the Manager of Philip Arthurs Restaurant in Trenton after many years of dedicated service. In her leisure time, Martha enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles, going to Atlantic City with friends, and spending time with her family. Daughter of the late John E. and Alice E. Burns, sister of the late George Preston, and John and William Burns; she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Lydia A. and James Ryba, two sons and one daughter-in-law Frank Sunkiskis and James and Kelly Sunkiskis; four grandchildren Chelsea, Courtney and Christian Sunkiskis, and Zachary Ryba. As a result of the coronavirus pandemic, funeral services are being held privately. A celebration of Martha’s life will be held at a later date.
