Obituary of Bernard J. Zukowski

Bernard J. Zukowski, 93, of Lawrenceville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was a longtime resident of Middle Village, Queens, New York, before moving to Lawrenceville. Bernard is proudly served his country with the US Navy. He is a retiree of Chase Manhattan Bank, where he was employed as a banker for many years. Bernard was a parishioner at The Church of St. Ann. Some of his hobbies included photography, gardening, traveling, trips to museums and botanical gardens. He was a loving father, grandfather and friend who will be dearly missed. Son of the late Sylvester and Constance Zukowski, husband of the late Felice T. Zukowski; he is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Julia A. McDonald, and Elaine M. and Robert L. McMahon; six grandchildren, Christina L., Brian J. and Gregory A. McDonald, and Colin B., Julia M. and Clara F. McMahon. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 30, 2021 at 10:30AM at The Church of St. Ann, 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. Attendees are asked to arrive to the church no later than 10:15AM. Entombment will be held at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick, NJ. The viewing for Bernard will be held on Sunday afternoon from 2-4 & 6-8PM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.
