My memory of Ivette was refreshed and reignited as a problem at the work place has now arisen. Ivette was the most caring, most concerned yet professional mediator that one could ever wish for. She listened, she weighed, and gave advice as only Ivette could do. She was ethical, precise, yet human and genuine. Her death was a loss to our very dark world. Ivette was a light of hope.! Shine on in the heavens Ivette!!

I'm saddened to hear of this. I'll remember her advocacy through ASPIRA Inc. of NJ and college access support for students in the late 1980s. She was also a good friend. May God bless her soul.

My family and I are so sorry to hear of Ivette's passing. We think of her strength, brilliance, family dedication, loving caring, strong faith, laughter, justice-promoting, community-building, quick wit, energy, beauty inside-and-out, fierceness, and more! I came to know Ivette many years ago through our mutual friends. As my family and I think of Ivette, our hearts go out to her extended family, friends, colleagues, and others who are sharing the wonderful memories of times with her -- and as we all mourn that her time here on earth has been so short. With prayers and in God's love during this sad and challenging time, and in continuing empathy and much celebration of Ivette's special, love-filled, inspirational, and impactful life -- Kirsten and family

It was my privilege to know Ivette as a member of the Mercer County Vicinage Family Court. I am a volunteer and she did some of the training sessions I attended. She was a great mentor to look up to. It was always a pleasure to see her at the Volunteer Appreciation Dinners, and bump into each other occasionally at events in Princeton. She was a very warm, friendly, intelligent, genuine person. She leaves behind a pair of shoes that will be impossible to fill. Rest In Peace.

Our children attended the child care center at the Justice Complex together and I always admired Ivette's tender gentleness as a mother. She was a lovely person and will be missed. Wishing her family peace and comfort.

Ivette was my colleague when I first arrived at the Mercer Public Defender's Office in 1999. She was a wonderful person and an excellent attorney. She helped me out when I was new and wet behind the ears. Over the years, I'd see her in the courthouse and we talked and about the "old" days. Ivette always had a smile on her face and was genuinely glad to see you. I was shocked when I saw her obituary in yesterday's Trenton Times. My condolences to her husband, children, family and friends. The light of the world is dimmed with her passing. John Maloney
