Obituary of Aleksandra I Weglarz

Aleksandra I. Weglarz, 90, of Ringoes and formerly of Trenton, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton. Born in Rzeszów, Poland, she was a lifelong resident of Trenton. Aleksandra worked for many years at Youngs Rubber and retired from Carter Wallace. She was a devout catholic and was a longtime parishioner at St. Hedwig Church and a member of the Altar Rosary Society. Some of her hobbies included gardening, traveling, cooking, making pierogis and doing crossword puzzles. Her secret to living 90 years was “coffee and cheerios” and a shot of Jezynowka Blackberry Brandy. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Predeceased by her parents Jan and Catherine Golas, her brother Leonard Golas, her husband Wladyslaw Weglarz, her son-in-law Vojtech Lakomcik; she is survived by her daughters Irene Lakomcik, Sophie Beyer, Janina Friedman and Barbara Bestwick, eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 11, 2020 at 11AM at St. Hedwig Church, 872 Brunswick Avenue, Trenton, NJ 08638. Interment will be held at St. Hedwig Cemetery, Ewing Twp. The viewing for Aleksandra will be held on Friday morning from 9-10AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. Please follow all social distancing guidelines and masks must be worn at all times. Per the family’s request you can send flowers to the funeral home or Masses from St. Hedwig Church or the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa, Doylestown, PA in Aleksandra’s memory.
