Obituary of Richard D. Pierson

Richard D. Pierson, 82, of Lawrenceville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at home surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Trenton, NJ, Richard was a lifelong area resident.  He formerly worked at Heinemann Electric Co., retiring from Crest Ultrasonic.  Richard was a parishioner at St. Hedwig Church and a member of their Knights of Columbus.  He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Predeceased by his parents Chester Sr. and Lillian Pierson, his brothers Robert and LeRoy Pierson; his father-in-law and mother-in-law Stanley and Charlotte Misiolek; Richard is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Lillian nee Misiolek Pierson; his children Richard Pierson, Jr., Jeffrey and Debbie Pierson and Denise and Sebastian Trapani; his grandchildren Kelsey Pierson, Rosie, Carlie and Anthony Trapani; his brother Chester Pierson, Jr, his sister and brother-in-law Lillian and Anthony Benevento; many nieces, nephews and special family friend Patricia O’Brien.

The funeral will begin at 9AM on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10AM at St. Hedwig Church, 872 Brunswick Avenue, Trenton, NJ 08638.

Interment will follow at St. Hedwig Cemetery, Ewing Twp.

The viewing for Richard will be held on Friday afternoon from 4-8PM at the funeral home.
