Frank E. Smith, 78, of Lawrenceville, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at Compassionate Care Hospice, in Hamilton, NJ.
Born in Trenton, NJ, he was a lifelong area resident. Frank is a retiree of General Motors, where he was employed as a UAW pipefitter. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. He appreciated the simple things that life had to offer. Frank was an avid NASCAR fan and was fan of the Earnhardt’s - both Dale and Dale Jr., but his greatest passion was spending time with his family and lending a hand whenever he could.
Son of the late Elmer Smith and the late Sara Hill; he is survived by his wife Sherri Smith, three sons and daughters-in-law David and Jamie Smith, Brian and Joan Smith, and Eric and Irene Smith; his grandchildren Derek, Sarah, Garrett, Jessica, Alexandra and Jillian; his brother Guy Hill, two sisters Nancy Gravatt and Susan Harned; a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held for family members, with inurnment to take place at the Lawrenceville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society 2600 Rt. 1 North Brunswick, NJ 08902.
