Roger F. Wagner of Lawrenceville, NJ passed away peacefully on Friday, December 1, 2017, surrounded by family.
He was 90 years old. Born in Philadelphia, PA on January 8, 1927, Roger soon moved to Egg Harbor City, NJ where he met his wife of 68 years, Marie Laielli. He studied at the University of Pennsylvania as well as the Stonier School of Banking at Rutgers University. Retired from the Department of Banking of NJ after 34 years, Roger spent the last 20 years as the Deputy Commissioner. He loved his home in the Pocono Mountains, where he enjoyed tennis, golf and close friendships. In his later years, Roger and Marie enjoyed volunteering at Meals on Wheels in Lawrenceville.
He is survived by his wife Marie, his children and their spouses; Susan and Steve Ragan, Carol Wagner, Roger Jr. and Diane Wagner, Barbara and Joe Eldridge, Kathryn and Simon Hall as well as nine grandchildren; Chris and Kyle Ragan, Ryan and Evan Wagner, Joe Jr., Maria and Olivia Eldridge, Jenna and Emily Hall, and four great grandchildren Natalie, Hilarie and Emilie Ragan, and Charlie Ragan.
Funeral services will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lawrence Township Meals on Wheels, at PO Box 6662, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.
