Obituary of Gaspare Bossio

Gaspare Bossio, 82, of Lawrenceville, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2017 at Capital Health Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Born in Belmonte, Italy, he resided in Italy and worked in other countries for 30 years to support his family, before moving to the Lawrenceville 52 years ago. Gaspare was the co-owner and co-proprietor of Bossio’s Deli in Lawrenceville, having proudly served the Lawrenceville and surrounding communities for the past 25 years. During those years he made many new friendships and acquaintances that he always cherished. He was a longtime parishioner of The Church of St. Ann, a 3rd degree knight with the Knights of Columbus Council 7000 and a member of the Lawrence Road Fire Company. Gaspare was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Some of his hobbies included, gardening, planting flowers, being outdoors and making wine. Gaspare was an avid NY Giants, New York Yankees, Juventus and Chelsea soccer fan, but he was most passionate about the sports played by his grandchildren. Son of the late Angelo and Giovanna Bossio; he is survived by his wife of almost 60 years Emma Bossio; his children and their spouses Angelo and Susan Bossio, Joanne and Paul Krueger and Alfred and Deborah Bossio; his grandchildren Robert Hallowell, Jeffrey Bossio, Evan Bossio, Matthew Krueger, Austin Bossio and Alexander Bossio; three siblings and their spouses Antonia Bossio of Italy, Gino and Patsy Bossio and Joseph and Rita Bossio; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will begin on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 9:00AM at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00AM at The Church of St. Ann 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hamilton.
